As the saying goes, justice delayed is justice denied.? In the case of the players suspended for their alleged role in the Saints bounty program, the delayed issuance of a ruling by Commissioner Roger Goodell is delaying the players? chance to get justice of any kind.

A full 11 days after Goodell conducted a hearing at which the players? lawyers raised procedural and jurisdictional arguments intended more for the next phase of the case than this one and offered no substantive defense of any kind, Commissioner Roger Goodell still hasn?t ruled.? Regardless, it?s no accident that 11 days have passed since the appeal hearings.? Earlier this year, Goodell needed only four days in April to reject the appeals from coach Sean Payton, G.M. Mickey Loomis, assistant head coach Joe Vitt, and the Saints.

Given that Payton and company actually presented information in their defense at the hearings, it should have taken longer to sift through those appeals.

Regardless, it?s already taken too long for the league to rule on the players? appeals.? And that most likely will be another issue raised when it?s time to move on to ?Phase Two.?

Bernanke comments overshadowed the surprise lending rate cut in China overnight. Gold saw a sudden drop off mid-session with no apparent reason testing to $1,556. Equities markets were off across the region after two strong days of gains. Shanghai failed to find a direction, three of China's top four banks raised their deposit rates to the maximum allowed limit. Former PBoC Advisor said the rate cut was intended to stabilize economic expectations for China and prevent excessive slowdown. He did not expect the cut to impact the property sector much.

- Australia recorded its 4th consecutive trade deficit but it was much smaller than expected at A$203M, exports continued to rise while imports saw a 1% drop. Exports to China picked up after their March slump as did iron ore exports. AUD/USD weakened off its US session highs before testing below $0.9840. ANZ bank announced it would pass on the full 25bp rate cut to its customers, Australia Treasurer Swan encouraged the other major banks to do the same. Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) Gov Stevens said the most recent rate cut was not intended to pump up speculative demand for assets and that rate cuts have little risk of re-igniting a boom in borrowing and prices. He did warn that unemployment data needs to be watched and that mining investment will reach 9% of GDP by mid-2014.

UK's Cameron, Obama urge action on eurozone crisis

LONDON (AP) ? British Prime Minister David Cameron and US President Barack Obama have agreed on the need for immediate action to resolve the eurozone crisis.

Downing Street said the two leaders spoke on the phone late Tuesday ahead of the G20 summit in Mexico later this month, when world leaders will discuss Europe's financial woes.

A spokesman for Cameron said he and Obama agreed on the need for an immediate plan to tackle the crisis, as well as a longer-term strategy to secure a strong single currency.

"Speed is of the essence," Cameron told reporters in Oslo before meeting Norwegian Premier Jens Stoltenberg late Wednesday. "Clearly the euro zone crisis is the biggest threat to the world economy today," he added.

Cameron is visiting Berlin Thursday for a student conference with Chancellor Angela Merkel and Stoltenberg, where the eurozone crisis is likely to be discussed. He will then hold a bilateral meeting with Merkel.

Cameron is pressing for eurozone countries to protect their currency with measures including greater fiscal burden-sharing among member countries.

Nintendo's pre-E3 media briefing has wrapped up and the doors have opened, doors containing the latest and final revision of the Wii U hardware. Reggie & Co. failed to give us any concrete launch details beyond "holiday" this year, so we can't quite be sure of a date or a price or, really, much of anything. But, we do know about more of the launch titles. NintendoLand is, apparently, the premiere title, a sort of touchscreen-friendly version of Wii Sports that digs up many of the company's storied brands and squeezes them into mini-game format.
