Wholly Guacamole 100 calorie packs ? product review! | San Diego ...

As you know, we try to eat as healthy as possible.? We usually make a lot of our own food from scratch mainly as a way to save some money when it comes to groceries.? You may remember I wrote about making my own fruit cups and keeping our school lunches very simple last year while we took on the Whole Foods on a Budget challenge.

Well ? one of the things our family LOVES is guacamole.? What?s not to love?? It?s healthy, delicious, and in CA you can often get avocados for a pretty reasonable price ? and when avocado season is here we love to make it from scratch.? But you know what does NOT freeze well? Homemade guacamole.? We tried putting little containers of my homemade guac in the kids lunches?.. it did not go over well.

We were REALLY happy to be introduced to Wholly Guacamole 100 calorie packs.? Normally we do not do a lot of 100 calorie pack products.? We?d usually prefer to just buy a big bag and put them in our reusable bags.? But Wholly Guacamole packs are different and well worth the added expense in the individual packs.

My daughter loves guacamole, but you really gotta eat homemade stuff right away or it starts to brown, we have tried to send it in little reusable containers and it just doesn?t work.? The Wholly Guacamole 100 calorie packs are the perfect size for dipping a small bag of crackers, chips, or veggie slices.? These packs stay fresh, yummy, and green until she pulls it open.? I have also found that it freezes GREAT!? I freeze it the night before and then pop it into her lunch right before she leaves for school.? This helps keep the rest of her lunch cool and it is still cold, but has defrosted to just the right temperature and consistency for her lunch time.

Wholly Guacamole is fresh, natural, and many are organic! Make sure to check the expiration date and simply pop in the freezer if you won?t use them all in time.? We have found that they freeze and defrost really well!

I am sure many of our readers are just like us ? you don?t just pack lunches for school, but also outings as a family.? We usually pack snacks for theme parks and the zoo just to save a little money.? We brought these 100 calorie packs along with us to a trip to Legoland recently.? I don?t know about you ? but I am always tempted to buy popcorn and other salty snacks when I am at a theme park.? We had our Wholly Guacamole 100 calorie packs and a bag of pretzel crisps instead.? This was still a treat, but much healthier and certainly less expensive than buying something out and about.

I have personally noticed LOTS of BOGO coupons for Wholly Guacamole in the Sunday paper inserts recently!? You can also get SPECIAL OFFERS HERE <?- this will often have coupons! ?SEE! You CAN find healthy coupons!

Wholly Guacamole can be found at several different stores ? we picked up ours in the produce section of Target.

Follow Wholly Guacamole on Facebook and on Twitter for more fun offers!

Thanks again to Wholly Guacamole!
